              Ľudia celého sveta sú bratia
odrezaní množstvom riek.
Vlastné záujmy a vlastný cieľ
sú ako rieky mocný prúd.
Popri známej tvári denne
prejdeš, ostane však nepoznaná.
Každý stojí sám na druhom brehu.
Ach, povedz, prečo
mosty zjednotenia nestaviaš
a nebuduješ mosty
zbližujúce celý svet?
Ach, prečo mosty nebuduješ,
čo poja všetkých ľudí
a Zem by bola časťou neba?

Ľudia celého sveta sú bratia
odrezaní množstvom riek.
Vlastné záujmy a vlastný cieľ
sú ako rieky mocný prúd.
Až ich bolesť nazveš svojím
bôľom a ich radosť svojím šťastím,
budeš s nimi stáť na jednom brehu.
Ach, povedz, prečo
s nimi neplačeš keď zaplačú
a tvoja radosť prečo
neblčí keď jasajú?
Ach, prečo všetkých nemiluješ
tou láskou ktorá pojí
a Zem by bola časťou neba?
