              Adalah seorang menaburkan benih.
Jatuh benih di jalan dan burung memakannya.
Firman itu baik, benih kasih bagimu,
dan orang yang menolak binasa s'lamanya.

Di tempat berbatu benih tak berkembang.
Layu kekeringan, tiada akarnya.
Firman yang ditabur di hati yang bebal,
di dalam pencobaan tiada dayanya.

Di semak berduri terhimpit tumbuhnya.
Tak dapat berbuah, tiada gunanya.
Firman dalam hati tak ada buahnya,
oleh rasa kuatir dan nikmat dunia.

Dan benih ditabur di tanah yang gembur,
tumbuh dan berbunga, berganda buahnya.
Firman yang ditabur di hati yang gembur
pasti akan berbuah, berlimpah hasilnya.
