              Ako svit hviezdy,
čo bledne a hasne
v slnečných lúčoch,
keď deň znova vstal,
podobne stráca sa
to, čo je časné,
ostane len,
čo si Kristovi dal.

  Kto dušu svoju
  pre Krista stratí,
  znášať vie pre Neho
  bolesť i žiaľ.
  To, čoho vzdáš sa,
  Boh v nebi ti vráti,
  nezhynie to,
  čo si Kristovi dal.

Raz iný prevezme
rúk tvojich prácu,
nebudeš roľu žať,
ktorú si sial.
Boh ti len za to dá
odmenu, plácu,
čo si tu do služieb
Kristových dal.

Len ten, kto ochotne
pre svojho Pána
seba i život svoj
obetoval,
uvidí svitanie
večného rána,
všetko tam nájde,
čo Kristovi dal.
