Ako túži jeleň po vodných bystrinách,
tak mi túži duša uzrieť Božiu tvár.
Slzy sú mojím chlebom vo dne, po nociach,
môj Boh, môj Pán.

Do domu Tvojho som, Pane,
chodieval, chválil Ťa, slávil,
vrelo sa modlieval,
na to si dnes už iba spomínam,
môj Boh, môj Pán.

  Očakávaj na Boha,
  duša moja zronená,
  očakávaj na Pána,
  Boha svojho spasenia.

Hospodin svoju milosť vo dne posiela,
v noci zas Jeho pieseň mi zaznieva,
modlitbu k Bohu v srdci vylievam,
môj Boh, môj Pán.
