A long time ago in a garden green
everything was perfect like a dream
Together with God walked a man and wife
totally dependent on the Author of Life
And all they had to do was just obey and paradise
was theirs forever and a day

Now into the garden slithered the snake
with deception in his mouth and souls to take
And through his lies the first couple fell down
and their eyes were partly opened
but they lost their crown
And the thunder clapped
and the judgment fell
as the fires of Heaven lit
the flames of Hell

Centuries passed under death's firm hold
fear our growing master, sin so bold
Then the God of Heaven sent His only Son
to break the serpent's grip, and make him run
Now the second Adam's blood was a price well paid
so the glory of the cross will never fade
A price well paid

Now the devil still roars, but he's lost his teeth.
So we must still resist him through belief
So with the armor of God upon my frame
I will stand my ground, will you do the same?
Because we're on our way back to Paradise,
so the enemy's defeated not once, but twice
