              Blízko kríža zdržuj ma,
Jezu, spása moja.
Tam je hojnosť pre všetkých,
duchovného zdroja.

  Krížom len, krížom len,
  ja sa chváliť budem,
  až si tam za Jordánom,
  odpočiniem s Pánom.

U kríža ma uzrel Pán,
v biede bez pomoci,
vyviedol ma láskave
z tej duchovnej noci.

  Krížom len, krížom len,
  ja sa chváliť budem,
  až si tam za Jordánom,
  odpočiniem s Pánom.

Na kríži môj trpel Pán,
život dal mi večný,
aby pokiaľ na zemi,
sluha bol som vďačný.

  Krížom len, krížom len,
  ja sa chváliť budem,
  až si tam za Jordánom,
  odpočiniem s Pánom.

U kríža ja v dôvere
chcem vždy bdieť detinskej,
až ma Pán môj zavolá
do slávy nebeskej.
