              Blíž k Tobě, Bože můj,
jen k Tobě blíž,
byť by mne táhnout měl
blíž k Tobě kříž.
Zaplesá vždy můj duch,
blíž k Tobě, jenžs můj Bůh!
Blíž k Tobě, Bože můj,
jen k Tobě blíž!

Byť mne tma objala,
slunka zhas svit
a já na kameni
strojil si klid.
Můj bude, Pane, sen,
blíž k Tobě, Bože jen;
blíž k Tobě, Bože jen,
jen k Tobě blíž!

Ukaž mi, cesta má
k nebe že jde,
a vše, co sesíláš,
z lásky že je.
Andělů pokyn zřím,
blíž k Tobě jít že smím,
blíž k Tobě, Bože můj,
jen k Tobě blíž.

A když pak procitnu
pln díků, chval,
v Bethel Ti postavím
každý svůj žal.
Tak by mne každá tíž
vedla jen k Tobě blíž,
vedla jen k Tobě blíž,
jen k Tobě blíž.

A když mne nad slunce
v nebeskou výš
povznese peruť Tvá
ve věčnou říš
můj hlahol uslyšíš:
Můj Bože, k Tobě blíž!
Můj Bože, k Tobě blíž,
jen k Tobě blíž!
