              1. Bože, ty si chránil,
viedol od mladosti krok môj sám,
v svojej láske veď ma ďalej
priamou cestou k výšinám.
Otče, veď ma, Otče, drž ma,
keď na púti zomdlievam.

2. Hriešny svet ma na zlé zvádza,
pokušení strojí sieť.
Ráč byť, Pane, stále pri mne,
Slovom pravdy do tmy svieť,
v chvíľach šťastia a či v búrkach
Duchom svojím k sebe veď.

3. Veď ma k práci užitočnej,
chráň i v odpočinku zas,
uč ma v bázni tvojej chodiť,
nauč vykupovať čas,
aby, keď sa mladosť stratí,
bol si ty môj žitia jas.

4. Otče, prosím, uč ma žiť tak,
ako žil môj Spasiteľ,
pokorou a láskou čistou
aby sa môj život skvel
a len tebe, Otče, večne
chválospev môj vďačný znel.
