Byłeś tam, gdy na krzyżu zmarł mój Pan?
Byłeś tam, gdy na krzyżu zmarł mój Pan?
Ach, czasem mą duszą wstrząsa drżenie,
drżenie, drżenie,
Byłeś tam, gdy na krzyżu zmarł mój Pan?

Byłeś tam, czy słyszałeś gwoździ zgrzyt?
Byłeś tam, czy słyszałeś gwoździ zgrzyt?
Ach, czasem mą duszą wstrząsa drżenie,
drżenie, drżenie,
Byłeś tam, czy słyszałeś gwoździ zgrzyt?

Byłeś tam, gdy przebili Jego bok?
Byłeś tam, gdy przebili Jego bok?
Ach, czasem mą duszą wstrząsa drżenie,
drżenie, drżenie,
Byłeś tam, gdy przebili Jego bok?

Byłeś tam, gdy Go kładli w ciemny grób?
Byłeś tam, gdy Go kładli w ciemny grób?
Ach, czasem mą duszą wstrząsa drżenie,
drżenie, drżenie,
Byłeś tam, gdy Go kładli w ciemny grób?

Byłeś tam, kiedy zgasł słoneczny blask?
Byłeś tam, kiedy zgasł słoneczny blask?
Ach, czasem mą duszą wstrząsa drżenie,
drżenie, drżenie,
Byłeś tam, kiedy zgasł słoneczny blask?
