              Cez oheň, cez vodu
kráčať ak mám,
dobrého sprievodcu,
Ježiša, znám.
Veď ma, ó, Pane môj,
veď ma, ó, Pane môj,
svoju moc zjav,
pri mne vždy stoj.

Mnohé a vábivé
cesty svet má.
Hoc sú aj žiarivé,
koniec však tma.
Na úzku cestu svieť,
na úzku cestu svieť,
Ježišu môj,
po nej ma veď.

Svoj kríž rád ponesiem,
ktorý mi dáš,
rozkoš Ty pre mňa, viem,
skrytú v ňom máš.
Tebe znie chvály hlas.
Tebe znie chvály hlas,
Ježišu môj,
chráň ma a spas!
