              Co za okrzyk wesołości niosą
drogie gody nam!
Oto wszystek lud w radości,
którą dał chrześcijaństwu Pan.

Chwała Bogu - jest to brzmienie
na ziemi pokój ma już ludzkie plemię,
bo już nam jest Zbawca zrodzony,
  nasz Pan, w mieście Dawida!

Promień światła nam przyświeca
z tej drzewinki lśniącej się,
nie są w stanie nasze serca
pojąć wspaniałości tej.

Chwała Bogu - jest to brzmienie
na ziemi pokój ma już ludzkie plemię,
bo już nam jest Zbawca zrodzony,
  nasz Pan, w mieście Dawida!

Ale krótka taka radość,
wkrótce zgasną świeczki te;
Jezus tylko sprawia radość,
która nigdy nie minie.

Chwała Bogu - jest to brzmienie
na ziemi pokój ma już ludzkie plemię,
bo już nam jest Zbawca zrodzony,
  nasz Pan, w mieście Dawida!
