              Dieu, le tout-puissant Créateur,
S'abaisse au rang d'un serviteur
Et, pour sauver le genre humain,
Il naît et souffre dans son sein.

Quelle étonnante charité,
Quel tendre amour, quelle bonté !
Les hommes pourront-ils jamais
Reconnaître tant de bienfaits ?

Va donc au-devant de ton Roi,
Pauvre pécheur ; il vient à toi,
Doux, patient, humble de cœur ;
Il vient pour être ton Sauveur.
