              Dnes, dieťa moje, počuj hlas,
„dnes" vzácne slovo,vzácny čas,
deň za dňom mizne ako sen,
v moci máš iba dnešný deň.

Včerajšok späť sa nevráti,
ďaleko je deň zajtrajší,
presto slúž, miluj,svetlo šír,
dokiaľ sa dnešok neskončil.

Na včera márne volanie,
na zajtra klamné čakanie,
dnes len je doba priaznivá,
múdry ten, kto ju užíva.
