Mint vándor hideg ősszel, elhagynám ezt a földet,
Elszöknék a tél elől.
Elmennék, elvinném, amit szívemre tettél:
A hűség szép láncait.

Közjáték:
.............

Mint könnycsepp sivatagban, mely visszatért a porba,
Így múlnék el nélküled.
Mint gyertya vad szélben, ahogy harcol a sötéttel,
Így múlnék el nélküled.

Mikor jöttek gonosz évek, és halkan körbe vettek,
Elrejtettél a sötétben.
Mint gyöngyöt a tenger megőrzi a néma mélyben,
Elrejtettél a sötétben.

Csak az ég tudja, és én is érzem,
  Hány éjjelen sírtál értem.
  Sose félek a halál völgyében,
  Elrejtettél a szívedben.
