Az Úr maga ad nektek jelet:
Igen, a Szűz fogan,
Fiút szül és Emmánuelnek nevezi el.

  Emmánuel, velünk az Isten,
  Emmánuel, velünk az Isten,
  Emmánuel!

A nép, amely sötétben jár,
Nagy fényességet lát!
A halál árnyékában világosság támad.

Mert gyermek születik,
Fiú adatik nekünk,
Az Ő vállára kerül az uralom.

Bátorság, ne féljetek!
Nézzétek, eljön Istenetek,
Hogy szabadulást hozzon nektek!
