              Entonnons un nouveau cantique
A la gloire du Dieu des cieux ;
Car son pouvoir est magnifique,
Et son bras est victorieux.
A son peuple il a fait connaître
Ses fidèles compassions ;
Sa justice a daigné paraître
Pour nous, devant les nations.

Dieu, de sa bonté secourable,
Daigne aujourd'hui se souvenir :
Selon sa promesse immuable
Il veut encor nous maintenir.
Le salut que Dieu nous envoie
Jusqu'aux bouts du monde s'est vu ;
Que d'une vive et sainte joie
L'univers entier soit ému !

Que des mers les flots retentissent,
Et les voix de tous les humains !
Que les montagnes applaudissent,
Que les fleuves battent des mains !
Car il vient vers sa créature,
Il vient, dans sa fidélité,
Juger le monde avec droiture,
Les peuples avec équité.
