              Frères, prions ! le jour décline,
Et tout s'emplit de majesté.
L'ombre descend de la colline ;
Des cloches la voix argentine
Semble annoncer l'Eternité !
Semble annoncer l'Eternité !

Frères, veillons ! la nuit est noire ;
Au ciel une pâle clarté
Brille seule, mais je veux croire
Que bientôt je verrai ta gloire,
O radieuse Eternité !
O radieuse Eternité !

Frères, chantons ! voici l'aurore,
Voici le Roi dans sa beauté !
De sa splendeur le ciel se dore ;
O Jésus ! mon âme t'adore,
Car tu m'ouvres l'Eternité !
Car tu m'ouvres l'Eternité !
