Hai jangan 'kau ratapi Dia yang pikul salibNya,
menuju puncak Golgota demi manusia.

Dan bukan kar'na dosaNya Tuhanku didera,
sengsara pun dipikulNya di bukit Golgota.

Pedihlah rasa hatiNya, gelisah dan penat,
sebab semua haruslah ditanggungNya berat.

DilihatNya manusia tertawan dosanya,
dan yang menolak kasihNya, tentu binasalah.

SengsaraMu, ya Tuhanku, 'kan 'ku kenang tetap,
sebab cela dan dosaku, hatiku pun gelap.
