              Herran kansa, laulaen
riemujuhlaa vietä:
halki vetten Israel
kulki kuivaa tietä.
Pääsi lapset Jaakobin
orjan ikeen alta,
poikki meren Punaisen
maalta vierahalta.

Siinä kevät sielujen:
Kristus kuolon voitti,
vallat mursi vankeuden,
valonpäivä koitti.
Poistui pitkä talvisää
päivänpaistehesta.
Lakkaamatta helkähtää
kiitos sydämestä.
