Herren er min hyrde, alt gjør Han vel,
lar meg ligge i en eng så grønn.
Ved de stille vanne kveges min sjel,
rettferds sti er hvile skjønn.

  Kor:
  Derfor jeg elsker Jesus Krist.
Han er den beste, uten brist.
Ingen er så trofast, kjærlig og mild.
Jeg for alltid hør' Ham til.

Med den gode olje salver Han meg
så min kopp blir overfylt.
Bare godt og miskunn følger min vei,
alt er nåde uforskyldt.

Skulle jeg enn vandre i dødens dal,
intet ondt jeg frykter her.
Han er min husvaler i sorg og kval.
Bord du dekker for meg her.
