              Hiburkanlah, hiburkan umatKu,
tenangkanlah hati Yerusalem,
serukanlah, serukan padanya:
"Perhambaan telah berakhirlah,
kesalahannya diampuni
dan hukumannya diakhiri".

Terdengarlah suara berseru:
"Persiapkanlah jalan TUHANmu
di belantara dan di padang pun
luruskan jalan bagi Allahmu".
KemuliaanNya dinyatakan
kepada umat manusia.

Seluruh makhluk hidup di dunia
bagai kembang dan rumput di lembah.
mereka akan layu dan kering
bila ditiup oleh nafasNya;
Tetapi firman TUHAN, Allah
tetaplah untuk selamanya.

Nyaringkanlah sua ramu, hai Sion!
Di atas gunung-gunung yang tinggi.
Katakanlah kepada Yehuda:
"Lihat, Dialah TUHAN, Allahmu,
bagai Gembala yang di padang
membawa pulang yang terbuang".
