                Idź ogłoś to po górach,
  Wszystkim dolinom ogłoś rad!
  Idź ogłoś to po górach,
  Że Zbawca przyszedł na świat!

Gdy byłem jeszcze grzesznym,
Modliłem się by Bóg,
Ukazał mi Swą drogę
Sprowadził z błędnych dróg.

Zacząłem szukać Zbawcę,
Szukałem dzień i noc.
On widział me pragnienie,
Okazał swoją moc.

Bóg zrobił mnie strażnikiem,
Bym murów miasta strzegł.
Gdy skończę swoją pracę,
Na drugi przejdę brzeg.
