              Jak para život rozplýva sa,
priam vädne ako pekný kvet.
Na vlnách času mladosť, krása
sa minú, nevrátia sa späť.
Aj národ starne v svojom behu,
zem vekom vrásky dostáva,
jar všetko má, aj dobu snehu,
počiatok má i skonáva.

Smrť tela nie je koniec duši,
hrob nie je žitia záverom;
čas dielo Božie neporuší,
Boh tvorcom je, je všetko v ňom.
Kto v dôvere ku Kristu ziera,
nič nemusí sa zlého báť
a nikdy, nikdy neumiera:
v ňom večný život bude mať.
