              Jakiż to przyjaciel Jezus,
Wierny nam po wieczny czas!
On nas z Ojcem swym pojednał
i ratuje zawsze nas.

  Któż to może wypowiedzieć,
  jak zbawienie traci się,
gdy do Zbawcy się nie zbliżym,
  i nie trwamy w modlitwie.

Chociaż piekło nam wygraża
i świat cały złości się,
Nas do Boga nic nie zraża:
my wciąż Doń modlimy się.

Jezus Pan nasz nam się zjawi
  ze słowami: "Pokój wam!"
  Jako Zbawca się objawi,

Gdy nas troska lub zmartwienie
dręczy w nocy lub we dnie,
da nam Jezus ukojenie,

  Od przyjaciół opuszczeni
  tulmy się do Niego wraz,
  a nie będziem zawstydzeni,
  On przygarnie wszystkich nas.
