              1. Jan Křtitel kdysi v řece křtil,
na hříšná srdce působil
a volal lidi k Bohu blíž,
ať rozhodnou se pro něj již.

2. Chceš z hřícha pout se vymanit
a dále jenom s Kristem jít?
Tak dej Mu život, lásku svou,
ať může vstoupit v mysl tvou.

3. Chce útočištěm tvým se stát,
On vejde v srdce tvoje rád.
Jen milost jeho dá ti klid,
a víru - s ním že můžeš žít.

4. On pozvedne tě, obnoví,
na prosby tvoje odpoví.
Pak povede tě Jeho tvář
a dá ti sílu, lásky zář.
