              Jozef a Mária
k Beltemu kráčajú,
čoskoro noc bude,
nocľah však nemajú.
Tu je dom, možno že
vpustia nás do dverí!
Klopú a čakajú:
Ktože im otvorí?

Nietko už otvára:
Choďte preč, - kričí pán,
nemáme miesta dosť,
sotva sa vyspím sám!
Ďalej zas putujú
inde sa opýtať.
Nikde ich nevzali,
v chlieve len budú spať.

V tom chlieve na sene
Vianoce začali,
Kristus sa narodil,
spievajte Mu chvály.
V tom chlieve na sene
Vianoce začali,
Kristus sa narodil!
spievajte Mu chvály.
