              Juzgaron a mi Cristo,
Nadie le defendió;
Delante de Pilato,
Nadie con él quedó.

  Yo le seré... amigo,
  Mi vida le... daré.
  Yo le seré... amigo,
  Mientras que aquí... esté.

El mundo le ha negado;
Mi alma le amará,
Y estando yo en el mundo,
Amigo él tendrá.

Haré lo que él me diga,
Iré con él doquier;
Procuraré por siempre,
Un buen amigo ser.

A ti que estás sin Cristo,
Le recomendaré;
El mismo que salvóme,
Será tu amigo, sé.
