              Jésus, du fardeau de la loi,
Par toi mon âme est libérée ;
Pour toujours elle est délivrée
De ce qui causait son effroi.

  Libre en regardant au Calvaire,
  Libre par ta mort salutaire,
  Libre, car j'entendis ta voix,
  Libre par le sang de ta croix !

O bonheur ! il est éternel,
Le salut que Jésus me donne !
Et son amour qui me pardonne
M'ouvrira la porte du ciel !

  Libre en regardant au Calvaire,
  Libre par ta mort salutaire,
  Libre, car j'entendis ta voix,
  Libre par le sang de ta croix !

Dieu m'aime, je suis son enfant ;
En sa fidélité j'espère ;
Dans tous les combats de la terre
Il veut me rendre triomphant

  Libre en regardant au Calvaire,
  Libre par ta mort salutaire,
  Libre, car j'entendis ta voix,
  Libre par le sang de ta croix !
