              Jésus sort de la tombe,
Il vit, Il est vainqueur !
Déjà la mort succombe
Devant le Rédempteur.
Chrétiens, chantons sa gloire,
Célébrons sa grandeur :
Où donc est ta victoire,
Sépulcre destructeur ?

Pourrais-je craindre encore
Le sommeil du tombeau ?
Le trépas est l'aurore
D'un jour pur et nouveau.
En Jésus j'ai le gage
De ma félicité,
Et j'aurai pour partage
Son immortalité.

Que la ferme espérance
D'un éternel bonheur
Apaise ma souffrance
Et console mon cœur.
Que dans ma dernière heure
Jésus sois mon appui !
Qu'en son amour je meure,
Pour régner avec lui !
