              K bdelosti a k modlitbám
pripraviť sa treba,
vyhnúť diabla nástrahám,
hľadať pomoc z neba.
Z pravdy ciest jeho lesť
rýchlo zvedie k zlému
všetkých, ktorí driemu.

Zobuď sa a precitni,
v Božej sile vstávaj,
zažeň svoje hriešne sny,
veriť neprestávaj!
S bdelosťou, vernosťou
čakaj svojho Pána
ako múdra panna!

Svoju myseľ stále chráň,
aby bdelá bola,
na zvod sveta nepristaň,
keď ťa hrešiť volá!
Zistíš sám: Je to klam!
Nedbaj jeho hlasu,
nestrať večnú spásu!

Preto priprav k modlitbám
môjho ducha, Pane!
Len tak v boji neprehrám,
nech sa, čo chce, stane.
S Tebou len, deň čo deň,
verný obstáť môžem,
všemohúci Bože!
