              Kan du ei tro så
helt som du vil,
// tro som det står! //
Hvil kun på Ordet,
nåde dertil,
sikkert hos Gud du får.

  Kor: Les som det står
  og tro som det står,
  aldri et Ord av
  skriften forgår.
  Glede og fred
  i hjertet du får,
  tro som det skrevet står!

Kan du ei elske
Gud mer enn alt,
// tro som det står! //
Og Han skal gi deg
som Han har talt,
kjærlighets fagre vår.

Lyser ei håpet
klart på din vei,
// tro som det står! //
Tetteste mørke
spredes for deg,
tro gjennom mørket går.

Ordet om korset
skjenker deg trøst,
// tro som det står! //
Løftene holder
tross dine brøst,
tro som det skrevet står!
