              1. Když se bratr v smutku souží
žalem svírán ze všech stran
a po lásce marně touží,
jednej tak, jak řekl Pán.
Jedno slovo laskavé
nebo ruky vřelý stisk
stačit může k nápravě
a ty budeš též mít zisk.

Ref.: Den po dni s rychlostí
  spěchá vstříc k věčnosti,
  proto bližním vypravuj,
že je Bůh zve v domov svůj.

2. Pozdě přijde pláč a lkání,
když jsi marně žil dny své.
Lásku dávej bez přestání,
nepřehlížej potřebné.
Hleď, jak v hříchu tone svět,
v bídě své a trápení,
podej mdlému ruku hned,
ukaž cestu k spasení.

3. Zlato, sláva ztrácí cenu,
promění se v nicotu,
služba lásky v Božím jménu
věčnou má však hodnotu.
Símě, jež je zaseto,
kde je stín neb slunce jas,
vzejde, bude požato,
svědčit bude v soudu čas.

Ref.: Den po dni s rychlostí
  spěchá vstříc k věčnosti,
  proto bližním vypravuj,
že je Bůh zve v domov svůj.
