              Kendati lawan menyerbu dan kawanku menjauh,
'ku ingat janji Tuhanku: " 'Ku beserta engkau".

Meskipun jalanku gelap, membuatku gentar,
tetaplah kemurahanNya dan kasihNya besar.

Meski gelombang menderu tak mau 'ku menyesal;
Tuhanku menaungiku, setiaNya kekal.

Di tiap waktu dan tempat kuasaNya menang;
dan kasih Tuhanku tetap, membuatku senang.
