              Keď sme prácu dokončili,
k večeru sa priblížili,
hľaďme hore k trónu Jeho,
nášho Kráľa nebeského.

Poďakujme Mu zo srdca,
že Jeho svätá pravica
život náš, dušu i telo
mocne chránila od zlého.

Sily k práci pridávala,
dobré dielo požehnala,
a tak bola nám prítomná
do skončenia tohoto dňa.

Vedomí si nehodnosti,
mnohých našich neprávostí,
prosme srdcom, vzdychom vrúcim:
Odpusť, Pane, nám kajúcim.

Keďže sami mdlí, slabí sme,
o pomoc Ho všetci prosme,
nech nás celú noc sám chráni
pred hroznými príhodami.

Všetko zlé nech vzdiali od nás, milostivý Pán a Boh náš,
dá nám pokojne spočívať
a ráno v zdraví z lôžka vstať.
