              Kiitä Jeesustasi,
sinun parhaaksesi
Hän nyt lyö
mutta taas parantaa.
Ketä Hän rakastaa,
sitä myös kurittaa.
Kiitä, sieluni,
nyt Jumalaa!

Vaikka yllättää yö,
kipu, tuska ja työ,
vaikka saapuisi
kuolemakin,
Jeesus puoltaja on,
valo sammumaton,
sinun linnasi
turvallisin.

Vaikka ystävät jää,
kaikki pois häviää,
vaikka kulkusi
raskasta on,
ohi kohta se on,
levon saa levoton.
Rauhan, sieluni,
saat, rauhaton.

Katso Jeesustasi!
Sinun puolestasi
Golgatalle vei
Herrasi tie.
Sinut armahtaa Hän.
Ikuisen elämän
saat, kun Hän
sinut perille vie.
