Kto dá mi sily k púti
v ďalekú blaha ríš?
Kto osvieti mi cestu,
úskalia, zrady skrýš?
Kto nahradí mi svojeť
v tej smutnej cudzine?
Môj Boh a brat: Pán Ježiš,
On svetlo jediné.

Kto osladí mi prácu, bez zdaru svitania?
Kto zotrie horké slzy bolesti, sklamania?
Kto naučí ma veriť, kde nezrieť pomoci?
Môj anjel zmluvy: Ježiš,
mocný i v nemoci.

Kto otvorí mi bránu, až púť raz skončená?
V čích rukách leží vzácna vernosti odmena?
Kto vloží ma s plesaním tam v náruč Otcovu?
Ježiš sám cesta jasná
k večnému domovu.
