              Môj vzácny Priateľ,
ktorý so mnou kráča,
dlh ťažký z lásky zaplatil,
to viem.
Keď som bol celkom
zapredaný hriechu,
tu ma On našiel,
v nebi diel mať smiem.

  Či túžiš poznať
  jeho slávne meno
  a kráčať cestou,
  ktorou chodil On?
  Nuž pozri na kríž,
  na Golgotu slávnu:
  Syn Boží Ježiš
  je tým Priateľom.

Tam jeho láskou
okrialo mi srdce,
kde za mňa vylial
svoju svätú krv.
V ňom šťastie, radosť
našiel som i pokoj,
už zmizol smútok,
čo ma trápil prv.

On má ťa rád
a otvára ti náruč,
len odlož hriech
i svetskej slávy šiaľ.
Chce každú vinu
odpustiť a prikryť,
dať pokoj svätý,
v radosť zmeniť žiaľ.
