              Maan mä tiedän
iki-ihanan.
Oi, kuin kaunis
kaupunki on taivaan!
Lunastettu
siellä morsian
kirkkautta
sädehtiipi aivan.

  Sieltä on
  tuskat pois,
  eikä murhe
  mieltä paina.
  Taivaassa ei
  kyyneleitä näy, ei,
  vaan siellä riemu
  kestää aina.

Vaan ei sinne
kukaan tulla saa,
synneistään ken
ei oo puhdistettu.
Sano, saatko
nähdä Karitsaa,
ootko häitä
varten vaatetettu?

Vielä vuotaa
armon virta tuo,
joka synnistä
sun puhdistaapi.
Riennä Vapahtajan
ristin luo!
Siellä taivas
sulle aukeaapi.
