              Minula nočná hodina;
pokľaknúc na kolená
vzývame Otca i Syna,
tiež aj Ducha Svätého,
jediného Hospodina.

Ďakujeme, ó Bože náš,
že si z lásky otcovskej
bol tejto noci Strážca náš,
a zo svojej milosti
k novému dňu prebudil nás.

Otče náš, my Ťa prosíme,
Duchom svojím spravuj nás,
nech v tento deň nehrešíme;
ale stále len s Tebou
k Tvojej cti, chvále žijeme.

Zažeň od nás diabla zlého,
vzdiaľ, prosíme, človeka
nešľachetného, ľstivého,
na ochranu pošli nám
anjela svojho strážneho.

A pretože povinnosti
čakajú aj dnes mnohé,
ó Bože, skloň sa z výsosti,
žehnaj úsilia dobré
zo svojej veľkej milosti.

Na Teba sa spoliehame,
Tebe sa porúčame,
so všetkým, čo sme a máme
daj, nech sa v dobrom zdraví
aj dnes večera dočkáme.
