              Muž bolesti meno má,
Boží Syn, On spasil ma.
Padlých ľudí záchrana.
Zmizla hriechu desná tma.

Odsúdený za mňa bol,
znášal hanbu, posmech bôľ.
Smrťou diabla premohol,
nový život priniesol.

Na kríži bol pribitý,
„Dokonané" riekli rty.
Teraz slávou odiaty
vychádza nám v ústrety.

Až raz príde slávny Kráľ,
aby vykúpených vzal,
zaznie nová pieseň chvál
jemu, že nám spásu dal.
