              Môj Priateľ vzácny
neľutoval seba
a z veľkej lásky
zaplatil dlh môj.
Keď som sa trápil
bezmocný a biedny,
On za môj hriech
dal vlastný život svoj.

  Kto poznať túži
  Jeho slávne meno,
  ten aj dnes môže
  ku Golgote prísť.
  Tam pieseň chvály
  so mnou bude spievať,
  keď pozrie vierou
  na Ježišov kríž.

Môj Priateľ vzácny
verne so mnou kráča,
v Ňom falše niet,
Naň smiem sa spoľahnúť.
Len človek zrádza,
Pán je verný stále.
Keď zlyhám ja,
On nepustí ma z rúk.

Môj Priateľ vzácny
záruku dať môže,
že cesta s Ním
má v nebi večný cieľ.
Veď o Ňom dávno
svedčí slovo Božie,
že On je Pán
a sveta Spasiteľ!
