              Nermúť sa príliš nad trpkosťou
položenia, v akom žiješ,
neprichoď k Bohu so sťažnosťou,
že všetko tu mať nemôžeš;
mysli na Neho v súžení,
naplní ťa potešením.

Pováž, či je to pravá radosť,
čo stále túžobne hľadáš,
či nebude aj mnohá žalosť
v tom, čo dnes získať si žiadaš?
Vedz, spokojnosť je vzácna cnosť,
keď máš na tom, čo Boh dal, dosť.

Či sa tak zmýšľať opovážiš,
že Boh na teba zabudol?
Čo Jeho lásku nepovážiš,
ňou dodnes prítomný ti bol?
Veď viac, než zasluhujeme,
od Neho darom prijmeme.

Kto Pánu Bohu dôveruje,
tak pracuje tu v časnosti,
On toho sám raz obdaruje
životom v sláve, radosti:
Bože, riaď moje cesty sám,
nech na tom, čo dáš, prestávam.
