              Nádherný je svit dennice
nadránom vychádzajúcej,
čo zaháňa noc tmavú.
Už vstalo všetko stvorenie,
privítalo svetlo denné
s radosťou srdca pravou.
Čo je živé
na výšinách i v hlbinách Boha chváli,
že je v láske neskonalý.

Ó duša moja, vzbuď sa tiež
a ako najvďačnejšie vieš,
vzdaj chválu svojmu Pánu!
Veď duša Kristovi verná,
česť, chválu Bohu vzdávať má
za lásku darovanú.
Hlasne, krásne
vďaka naša nech sa vznáša, Bože, k Tebe,
kde kraľuješ vo velebe.

Po Tebe túžim, Bože môj,
nech obličaj sa skloní Tvoj
k nám v tejto rannej chvíli.
Buď pevnosťou a hradom nám,
pred pokušením a lsťou chráň,
aby nám neškodili.
Bráň nás, za nás
bojuj stále, mocný Pane, nech v tom boji
nepodľahnú verní Tvoji.

Nuž, srdce moje, spievaj tiež,
aj v kríži v Pánovi sa teš
a nádej skladaj v Neho.
Nehorekuj, stíš žalosti,
nauč sa trpezlivosti
až do skonania svojho;
veď raz v ten čas,
naposledy z každej biedy Boh vyprostí,
privíta nás vo večnosti.
