              On hyvä veisata
Jeesuksesta,
sielujen suuresta
Paimenesta,
ja kiittää armoaan,
hyvyyttään,
kun meidät osti
Hän verellään.

Kun katson Jeesusta
ristinpuulla,
saa sydän kiusattu
lohdun kuulla:
"Sun syntis
anteeksi annetaan."
Sen sanan uskoa
myös mä saan.

Jos lienen oppia
suurta vailla,
saan tulla luoksensa
lapsen lailla.
Vain lapsi tuntevi
lahjan sen,
ei koskaan viisaus
maallinen.

Ei mulla aarteita
maailmassa,
vaan Isän rikkaus
taivahassa.
Jos mitä tarvitsen
päällä maan,
sen Herra antavi
armostaan.
