              Por Galilea al pasar,
A dos hermanos, Jesús,
Les vio las redes echar
Para pescar en quietud.
Cristo les dijo así:
Seguidme y os haré
Pescar almas para mí,
Que yo os enseñaré.

  Ven en pos de mí,
  Dice el Salvador,
  Te haré pescador
  De almas para mí.

Y, ven, me dijo Jesús,
A muchas almas aquí
Serás antorcha de luz,
Hablando a otros de mí.
...
...
...
...

Así llamando el Señor
A muchos hombres él fue;
Él te hará pescador
Como al que nunca lo fue;
¿Serás capaz, pescador,
De aún su voz rechazar?
¡Oh! ven, te hará pescador
Después de tu alma salvar.
