Pozri sa, pozri sa na Daniela
  a uč sa od neho!

V dobe dávnej žil človek Daniel,
čo Boha miloval.
Jemu slúžil, s Ním kráčať túžil
a vždy Ho poslúchal.

  On chválil Boha,
  lebo dobrý Pán Boh je.

Kráľ sa hneval, že raz mu nedal
viac úcty, ako chcel.
Že tak robil, tak kráľ ho hodil
do jamy levovej.

Boh stál pri ňom a všetkým levom
hneď ústa zatvoril.
Vždy a všetkým, tak svojim verným
sa Pán Boh odmenil.

  Tak chváľme Boha,
  lebo dobrý Pán Boh je.
