              Přítel, proč se tak staráš,
odkud těžké břímě tvé.
Den zo dne mu v obět dáváš
radost, žití, štěstí své.

Ó, odlož již tu velkou tíž,
již tak dlouho jsi zde nosil.
Kristus dá mír, věř tomu jen,
za všechny On svou krev prolil.

Není to mzda za tvou vinu,
co tě nyní znavuje?
Nikde nenalézáš klidu,
rci, příteli, co ti je?

Ó, jak šťasten můžeš býti,
jak můžeš být radostným,
věř, že již na této zemi
dítětem jsi královským.
