              Semua orang inginkan kebenaran berada dipihaknya,
namun sedikit yang sungguh mau berada dipihak kebenaran.
Semua orang seakan-akan tampil menjunjung kebenaran,
namun sedikit yang sungguh mau berkorban membela kebenaran.

Kata pemazmur: semua manusia tak dapat diandalkan,
hampir semua perkataannya bohong da sulit dipercaya.
Tiada lagi kebenaran sejati yang mudah dijumpai;
hanyalah Yesus terang dan kebenaran dan jalan kes'lamatan.

Semua orang yang cari kebenaran menjadi salah jalan;
tak tahu lagi harus pilih yang mana, semuanya serupa.
Setiap hari semuanya berubah, oh sungguh membingungkan;
hanyalah Yesus terang dan kebenaran yang tak pernah berubah.
