              Si, kjenner du det
underbare navnet,
som til frelse Gud oss gav?
Dets pris er sunget
ut i hele verden,
over alle land og hav.

  Kor:
Navnet over alle navn er Jesus,
det stråler med en himmelsk glans.
  For intet annet navn
  kan bringe frelse,
  intet annet navn enn Hans.

Det navnet lyser
som en morgenstjerne,
over jordens nød og natt.
Det skjenker mot
og øker håpets flamme,
der det stråler full av kraft.

Det bringer himmelsk fred
til kvalfullt hjerte,
skjenker under sorgen trøst.
Det byder vind
og bølger være stille,
når det stormer i mitt bryst.

Når alle andre navn
en gang må vike,
Jesu navnet står som fjell.
Dets purpurglans
skal hele evigheten,
lyse med sitt strålevell.
