              Slnko z hviezdy už vyšlo,
všetci sa radujme,
že na tento svet prišlo
pre naše spasenie,
aby sa naplnilo
drahé zasľúbenie.

Proroctvo sa splnilo
dávno ohlásené;
prorokmi, Svätým Duchom
nám predpovedané
Narodí sa Mesiáš
v meste Betleheme.

Panna že má porodiť
sveta Spasiteľa,
ktorý má vyslobodiť
ľud z rúk nepriateľa.
Život z života vyšiel,
by nám milosť našiel.

Ó divné narodenie,
pre naše spasenie,
Boha Syna vtelenie,
aké poníženie!
Pre ľudské pokolenie
slávne povýšenie.

On, Syn večného Otca,
mocného na nebi,
hľa, stal sa synom matky
pokornej na zemi,
aby nás obohatil
cťou, slávou na veky.

Buďme vďační za Jeho
v tele narodenie,
za nesmiernej lásky dar,
naše vykúpenie,
život s Otcom, s anjelmi,
v nebi oslávenie.
